Assoc. Dr. Ali Barbaros Başeskioğlu stated that water constitutes 60 percent of the body weight of a healthy adult man and 50 percent of the body weight of a woman. Explaining that these rates are 70-75 percent in a newborn baby, they decrease with age, and that 95 percent of the human brain and 90 percent of the lungs are made up of water, Başeskioğlu said, "Without sufficient water, none of the systems, organs and cells in the body can continue their functions. All vital functions that take place within the cell." Metabolic events can only occur if there is sufficient water in the cell. Even a small decrease in body fluid, such as 2 percent, causes mild fatigue, slight impairment in recent memory, and difficulties in concentrating and focusing on the task at hand. The decrease in body fluid is simply called 'dehydration'. One of the most common causes of mild fatigue is mild dehydration. Our body loses approximately 2.5 liters of water per day to eliminate accumulated toxins and maintain the body's temperature balance. Therefore, the more water we drink, the more our kidneys need the help of water. It can perform its task so well. When our body's water intake decreases, our body retains water and urine production decreases. "In this case, the functioning and function of the kidneys also weaken," he said.

"In our country, 13 out of every 100 people suffer from kidney stones. We recommend plenty of fluids for the stones to pass to patients who we do not think are harmed by the stone. Since drinks such as cola and tea consumed instead of water may have other side effects, water should be consumed as water. Drinking cola accelerates the excretion of calcium from the kidneys, helps teeth It increases bruises, excessive drinking causes muscle diseases, cola causes the body to store fat because it suddenly increases blood sugar. Drinking tea causes a decrease in iron absorption, increases the amount of urine, and reduces the amount of urea acid excreted in urine. Therefore, tea is harmful to those who have sand and stones in their kidneys. It is important to consume lemon water for the health of our kidneys. Lemon juice increases the amount of urine and helps remove unwanted substances from the body. Therefore, when you drink lemon water, toxins are removed from your body faster and your urinary tract is healthier. "It also provides protection from some types of stones due to citrate," he said.
