Penile Prosthesis

Penile prosthesis is a medical device used in men with erectile dysfunction. These devices are used when the penis is unable to get or keep hard enough during sexual intercourse. Penile prostheses are artificial implants that are inserted through a surgical operation and placed inside the penis.

Penile prostheses generally include three types:

• Cylinder Prostheses: Cylinder-shaped implants that are inserted into the penis and can be manually inflated during sexual intercourse.
• Pump Prostheses: These prostheses, which include two cylinders and a pump, provide an erection with the help of a pump before sexual intercourse. When intercourse is complete, the air is removed from the cylinders with a simple button and the penis softens.
• Stagnant Prostheses: These prostheses always remain in a rigid state and cannot be manually inflated and deflated during intercourse. This type of prosthesis is less complex and the operation process is simpler.

Penis Enlargement Surgeries

• Penis Lengthening: An elongation of 2-4 cm can be achieved by releasing the suspensory ligament of the penis between the anterior part of the pelvis and the root of the penis with a small incision. In addition, in patients who are overweight or have a recessed penis due to fat deposits under the navel and in the groin, the penis length can be revealed by removing fat from these areas.
• Penis Thickening: Fat tissue taken from the sub-umbilical tissue is processed and injected into the subcutaneous surface of the penis. Alternatively, fillers can also be used. This procedure can be applied for premature ejaculation treatment as well as thickening.
• Penis Deformity: Deformities caused by congenital or faulty circumcision practices, accidents or traumas are corrected after a detailed physical examination by the urologist.
